Fabric Wings and Posable Joints for Lifelike Poses
The centrepiece of the set is the adult Thestral with its characteristic spreadable fabric wings. When folded, the wings sit close to the body; when extended, they reveal the full wingspan of the winged horse. Head, legs and wings are connected by joints so the figure can be put into a variety of poses: standing on the forest floor, mid-gallop or in flight with wings outstretched. The combination of LEGO bricks and fabric elements gives the Thestral a far more organic look than a purely brick-built model.
The Thestral foal is smaller but equally detailed. The youngster also has posable joints and can be positioned beside its parent. A buildable tree represents a scene from the Forbidden Forest where Thestrals live in the books and films. Harry first encounters them in the fifth book, when he is suddenly able to see the otherwise invisible creatures after Cedric Diggory's death.

At 24 cm tall the adult Thestral works as a display figure on a shelf or desk. Its poseability also makes it a play figure that can be integrated into custom Harry Potter scenes.
