Open, Play, Close – a Bookend with a Double Function

 

The model combines play function and room decoration. Opened out, it reveals the platform scene with the passage through the wall to Platform 9¾ and the Hogwarts Express compartments where Harry and Ron can sit with their animals. Side cut-outs allow easy access to the compartments. Folded together, the model becomes a functional bookend that holds Harry Potter books or other volumes on the shelf. At 38 cm wide when open and just 7 cm deep, the model is optimised for both purposes.

The red Hogwarts Express locomotive with its golden details is instantly recognisable.
